TDR Pocket for Pocket PC

TDR Pocket for Pocket PC is an integrated system fully compatible with Campbell Scientific's TDR100TM Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR).

Working with the ActiveSync filter, which runs on Microsoft WindowsTM, TDR Pocket for Pocket PC enables you to use and control the Campbell TDR100 with a user-friendly stand-alone application running on Pocket PC, Microsoft Windows CE/MobileTM.

TDR Pocket for Pocket PC makes it easier for you to perform reflectometer campaigns for in-situ soil measurements. All you need is:

  • TDR Pocket running on a Pocket PC device;
  • Campbell TDR100 Reflectometer with probes;
  • Power supply (12V Battery).

TDR Pocket connects directly to Campbell TDR100 and it displays and stores on your Pocket Pc in a few seconds the dielectric constant, the soil water content (estimated with Topp and Ledieu equations), soil electrical conductivity and the entire reflection waveform.

You can test the performance of your measurement by checking the reflection waveform on your Pocket Pc. All the collected data can be easily downloaded on your desktop pc for further analysis.

TDR Pocket output data format is CSV (Comma Separated Values), plain text files fully compatible with Microsoft ExcelTM and Microsoft AccessTM. The default output file name contains date and time of acquisition. You can easily change the filename and add a text header to output files, in order to specify location, GPS position, or personal notes.

TDR Pocket allows you to control the TDR100 by setting, changing, and storing the following TDR100 parameters:

  • Cable propagation velocity
  • Cable length
  • Probe length
  • Probe offset
  • Number of measurements averaged
  • Number of waveform samples
  • Waveform window start and length
