Soil database
Soil Database is an application developed in Microsoft Access and Excel that allows you to obtain soil granulometric properties and soil hydraulic properties starting from sample data stored in the archive.

The application uses the information collected in the archive to make for every sample:
- textural triangle and granulometric curve;
- estimation of water retention and hydraulic conductivity curves, using:
- optimization of water retention and/or hydraulic conductivity data;
- pedotransfers functions (Rawls & Brakensiek, Vereecken, Hypres).
The database has all the functions you need for management of:
- basic data (site description, horizon, top and bottom depth groundwater, annual rain, average temperature, etc.);
- soil properties (bulk density, particle density, porosity, percentage of sand, silt and clay, organic matter, etc.);
- granulometric data;
- water retention data;
- hydraulic conductivity data;
- models and pedotransfers functions parameters.
The application allows you to search the samples in the archive, setting:
- until 15 search criteria;
- logic conditions OR / AND;
- lower and upper limits.
You can easily use reports for data visualizations and prints. Soil Database also makes it easier for you to copy data and graphs in the clipboard and use it in external applications or prepare the water retention and hydraulic conductivity data for RETC program of the USDA.
Requirements: Microsoft Windows XPTM, Microsoft Office 2003TM, Adobe Acrobat ReaderTM (only for guide consultation).
